Message from Bro. Mike

Todos confrontamos tiempos difíciles en nuestras vidas. Tiempos cuando quisieramos escapar de problemas como el dolor de pérdida, angustia, o fracaso para nombrar algunos. Hasta las frustraciones pequeñas diarias nos cansan al pasar el tiempo.

Cuando te encuentres experimentando problemas como estos, recuerda esto, "El Señor está cerca de los quebrantados de corazón y salva a aquellos que tienen el espíritu abatido." (Salmo 34:18) Después de todo, "Los ojos del Señor están sobre los justos y sus oídos, atentos a sus oraciones." (Salmo 34:15) Porque cuando, "Los justos claman, y el Señor los oye, él los libra de todos sus problemas." (Salmo 34:17)

Sería comprensible si, cuando leyéramos estas palabras, pensáramos, „Esto no se aplica a mí, no me siento muy justo.? Pero, podemos ver, es por esto que el Evangelio es llamado las "Buenas Nuevas", ¡porque por Cristo Jesús nos hacemos justos! Escrito está, "Al que no cometió pecado alguno, por nosotros Dios lo trató como pecador, para que en él nos convirtiéramos en la justicia de Dios." (2 Cor. 5:21) Así es que cuando la gracia de Dios nos cubre por medio de la sangre de Jesús, somos hechos justos de nuevo.

La siguiente vez que tus problemas empiezen a desesperarte, escucha a Jesús decir, "No se angustien. Confíen en Dios, y confíen también en mí." (Jn. 14:1)

We all face troubling times in our lives. Times in which we wish we could escape from troubles like the pain of sorrow, grief, or failure just to name a few. Even small daily frustrations wear on our nerves after a while.

When you find yourself experiencing problems like that, remember this, "The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) After all, "The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry." (Psalm 34:15) Because when, "The righteous call out, and the Lord hears them, he delivers them from all their troubles." (Psalm 34:17)

It would be understandable if, when we read these words, we think, „This doesn?t apply to me, I don't feel very righteous.? But, you see, that?s why the Gospel is called the Good News, because through Jesus Christ we become righteous! It is written, "God made him who had no sin to be sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." (2 Cor. 5:21) So when the grace of God covers us through the blood of Jesus, we become righteous once again.

The next time your troubles start to wear you out, listen to Jesus saying, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me." (Jn. 14:1)
